Kristin + Wheeler’s Wedding Day
Like many Couples in 2020, Kristin and Wheeler were in full planning mode for their Martha’s Vineyard wedding at the East Chop Yacht Club. When coronavirus hit, they decided to play it safe and push their wedding to the fall. With so much uncertainty still going on, they questioned if their wedding could still be safely held in September. Instead, they decided to stick with their original date of June 20, 2020 and plan an intimate celebration at a friends home in Oak Bluffs.
Kristin grew up spending summers on the island, working at Nancy’s and Sandpiper Realty. After she met Wheeler, they soon too would spend summers taking trips together to the Vineyard. During one of their trips, Wheeler popped the question on the iconic Tigress Sailboat. When they needed to come up with a Plan B, it felt natural that they would exchange vows on the sailboat too.
While their parents were aboard the boat, their siblings cheered from the shore lines. After the sailboat ride, they hosted an intimate dinner party complete with a cake cutting and first dance. Congratulations, K+W! Your day was perfect in every way. I’m so grateful I was able to capture this special day for the two of you.
