I am so excited to finally share with you, Elke and Matt’s intimate Captain Morse House Wedding! Like most couples in 2020 who were planning a wedding, these two were forced to pivot and postpone to 2021. With Elke graduating Med School in the Spring (and now moving across the country!), they couldn’t wait until the summer to have a large gathering with all their friends and family.
As a child, Elke spent summers on the vineyard with her family, therefore it always held special place in her heart. Friends and family would often come visit and stay with them so naturally, it just felt right to hold an intimate celebration on the island. They landed on the Captain Morse House, which allowed for them to enjoy a long weekend full of celebrating all in one place. They spent their days golfing, bike riding, having clam bakes and playing lawn games
Not only does E have brains and beauty, but I think she secretly would be the best party planner (when she isn’t busy being Matt’s sous-chef). Between the tablescape design, sending care packages to their zoom attendees and creating a detail itinerary for the weekend, these two didn’t miss a single detail!
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Bailey! It was an honor to capture your first day as newlyweds. I can’t wait to see you both take on Minnesota during your newest adventure together!
