Winter Wedding at The Commons 1854 | Nicole + Jason

Nicole and Jason celebrated their classic, black & white, winter wedding at the Commons 1854 in Topsfield, Massachusetts. With the sun shining bright and the birds chirping throughout the day, it was hard to believe it was only February.

The morning of Nicole & Jason’s wedding, I arrived at N’s childhood home to find the girls drinking mimosas in their cute matching pajamas. A big warm welcome from Nicole and her sisters was the perfect way to start my 2020 season. Her loving Italian family swept me in right away and showed me the lay of the land.

All of Nicole’s beautiful details were perfect for a quintessential winter wedding at The Commons 1854. Some stunning fur even made an appearance later in the day. Nicole’s parents were also married in the winter, which meant some of Nicole’s mom’s wedding day fur made it on Nicole’s bouquet of roses.

N+J exchanged their vows up the street from Nicole’s parents house at St. Adelaide’s Church. Jason’s reaction to seeing Nicole walk down the aisle with her dad may have been one of my favorite moments from their day. After #SayingIdoOn222, these two sweet, kind souls were ready to make their way to The Commons.

With lots of beautiful locations both inside and outside, portrait time at The Commons was a breeze. Their families stayed warm inside, utilizing the fireplace as their backdrop. The wedding party ventured outside and enjoyed the gardens and the glistening sun.

Once the party started, this crowd danced the night away thanks to 617weddings. For those that needed a quick break, the gelato bar was the perfect spot to rest their dancing legs.
