Ashley Largesse May 2016 Workshop | Edson Hill - Stowe, Vermont

Just 8 weeks ago, I pulled out my camera to photograph my sister’s bridal shower and almost threw it out the window from frustration. I couldn’t figure out the settings or how to adjust them to get the certain effect that I was looking for. Luckily, I had signed up for a photography class that was starting the following week. I needed to learn the mechanics and I needed to learn them fast! Not only was I booked to photograph my first wedding this summer but I was also signed up for a wedding photography workshop that was just a few weeks away! From a young age, I always dabbled in taking photographs of my favorite things or of my favorite places. However, I would often pull out my iphone because I felt more comfortable using it and it was easy to use. Well, it was time to finally dust off my DSLR that I purchased almost 3 years ago and finally get my monies worth!

It’s hard to believe that just last week I was on my way to Vermont for the long awaited #AshleyLargesseWorkshop! I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect and I definitely thought I would show up and be intimidated by this awesome group of photographers. However, it was anything but that. Right from the beginning, I was surrounded by a group of exceptionally inspiring individuals. We all shared the same passion and we all had very similar goals. We bonded over our struggles, our fears as well as that little spark inside us that sets our soul on fire. The day was full of laughter, love, tears and a whole lot of Vermont awesomeness. It was truly the best day ever and one that I will forever remember as being a pivotal moment in my career.
